About Niobium Oxide (Nb2O5)
Niobium(V) Oxide is an insoluble, thermally stable niobium source used in glass, optic and ceramic applications. Certain perovskite structured oxides are electronically conductive, making them useful in solid oxide fuel cells and oxygen generation systems. These compounds contain at least one oxygen anion and one metallic cation, and are typically insoluble in water.
Metal oxide compounds can react with acids and strong reducing agents in redox reactions. Niobium Oxide is available in pellets, pieces, powder, sputtering targets, tablets, and nanopowder. Ultra high purity and high purity compositions improve optical quality and usefulness as scientific standards. Nanoscale elemental powders and suspensions can also be used as high surface area forms.
