About Tantalum (Ta)
Tantalum possesses unique properties that make it a valuable material in electronic applications. With a high melting point, it is an excellent conductor of heat and electricity, making it the preferred material for electronic capacitors used in cell phones, laptops, and pagers. Tantalum compounds, like tantalum oxide and tantalum chloride, form dielectric coatings.
Additionally, tantalum is used in nuclear energy and is added to glass for its high refractive index. Tantalum is available in various purities, ranging from ACS grade to ultra-high purity, in forms including pellets, rods, wires, and granules for evaporation source material purposes.
Tantalum nanoparticles and nanopowders offer ultra-high surface area, creating unique properties and benefits for nanotechnology research. Tantalum oxides are available in powder and dense pellet form, while tantalum fluorides are insoluble and ideal for metallurgy, chemical and physical vapor deposition, and some optical coatings. Tantalum is also available in soluble forms, including chloride, nitrate, and acetate, that can be manufactured as solutions with specified stoichiometries.

Through metallographic testing, the internal grain structure of the target material is analyzed to ensure that the grains are fine and dense. - Appearance and dimension inspection
- Product dimensions are measured using micrometers and precision calipers to ensure compliance with drawings;
The surface finish and cleanliness of the product are measured using a surface cleanliness meter.
