About Tungsten (W)
Tungsten has a long history of commercial use, from light bulb filaments to early television tubes. Its unique property of expanding at a rate similar to borosilicate glass makes it useful for metal-to-glass seals. Tungsten is also an essential component in electric furnaces, aerospace systems, and engine parts, where high pressure/temperature environments are expected. Additionally, tungsten carbide is used in the production of industrial machinery, cutting tools, abrasives, and jewelry.
Tungsten is available in various forms and purities, ranging from 99% to 99.999% (ACS grade to ultra-high purity). Elemental or metallic forms include pellets, rods, wires, and granules for use as evaporation source materials. Tungsten nanoparticles and nanopowders provide ultra-high surface area. Tungsten oxides are available in powder and dense pellet form for use in optical coating and thin film applications, although they tend to be insoluble. Tungsten fluorides are another insoluble form useful for metallurgy, chemical and physical vapor deposition, and some optical coatings. Tungsten is also available in soluble forms, including chlorides, which can be manufactured as solutions at specified stoichiometries.
For specific applications requiring ultra-high purity levels, high purity (99.999%) tungsten oxide (WO2) powder is available. This specialized material can be used in a range of applications, including research and development, semiconductors, and other high-tech industries.

- The target material is inspected using flaw detection equipment to ensure that there are no defects or shrinkage holes inside the product;
Through metallographic testing, the internal grain structure of the target material is analyzed to ensure that the grains are fine and dense. - Appearance and dimension inspection
- Product dimensions are measured using micrometers and precision calipers to ensure compliance with drawings;
The surface finish and cleanliness of the product are measured using a surface cleanliness meter.
