Aluminum-doped Zinc Oxide (AZO) is a thermally stable and highly insoluble source of Aluminum, commonly used in glass, optic, and ceramic applications. While oxide compounds are generally non-conductive, certain perovskite structured oxides are electronically conductive, making them ideal for use in the cathodes of solid oxide fuel cells and oxygen generation systems.
Oxide compounds are typically composed of at least one oxygen anion and one metallic cation, and are known for their insolubility in aqueous solutions, as well as their remarkable stability.
